About [ FRAMEDWAY ]

[ FRAMEDWAY ] is a public art project launched in Spring 2007, devised and implemented by filmmaker and digital media designer Gary Weston in association with Heart Medway - supporting heritage and arts in Medway.

Members of the public, organisations and groups are invited to submit images from the Medway area that fit within the framework themes of heritage and art. Images could be of family and friends, of local scenes and events, of architecture, old and new. Contributors are encouraged to submit creative photographic responses to the themes of heritage and art in Medway.

An online photo gallery will become a growing archive of Medway's arts and heritage. Generated from these images large scale digital photo mosaics will be projected in various public buildings and spaces, initially at Rochester Castle Gardens during Medway's FUSE festival May-June 2008.

Heart Medway will periodically select photos that will be used as the master images for the mosaics. Contributors and the general public will be able to see the thousands of images that combine to create the photo mosaics. You can view large scale digital versions of the photo mosaics on this website.
